About Me
Early Childhood Development Specialist, Literacy Expert
Reading is the gateway to learning; every child should learn to read in a fun environment tailored to their strengths and needs. As an early literacy teacher of 12 years with specialized training in Orton Gillingham's multi-sensory, structured approach to teaching literacy, I am passionate about helping every student blossom into a confident reader. Whether your child is just starting school or has been struggling to keep up with reading for a few years now, I would be honored to work with your family to develop a pathway to literacy that is personalized just for them.
Qualifications and Trainings:
- M.Ed. Education from Ashford University
- Experienced with the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading, using multi-sensory structured literacy techniques
- 12 years of experience as an early literacy teacher Kindergarten through 2nd grade
- Certified in Early Childhood Education
Services
Reading Assessment
Assessment will be given to analyze all areas of reading. Data from this assessment will help build the students individualized learning plan.
Individualized Learning Plan
Individual learning plans will be developed based on assessment data. We will work together to develop student goals and objectives.
One- on-one virtual tutoring
Sessions can be offered in 30 - 50 min increments.
20 minute progress update meeting will be held every 9 weeks.
